I wasn't sure about getting this phone as first as there are lots other handsets available with better specs for the same price and a lot of people having been complaining that it's nowhere near as good as the s3. However, after having the product since Christmas Day, I can say it has been nothing but perfect! With its 1GB of RAM, the phone runs many applications seamlessly without any trouble. It doesn't offer 2GB of RAM like the larger model (S3), but in reality 1GB is plenty unless your planning on running 50 games at the same time. The phone offers 8GB of internal memory which is reduced to about 5/GB with the operating system and pre-loaded software which means you can easily install over 100 apps on your phone without any problem. If this still isn't enough, however, you can always insert a mini SD card for extra storage capacity (for photos, videos, music etc).
The phone runs Androids latest operating system 4.1 Jellybean which can be immediately updated to 4.1.1 after a software update and runs off a 1 GHz dual-core Cortex-A9. Again, this is not as good as the larger S3, however, I don't see this as a problem as the phone runs perfectly and there is no need for a faster processor.
Unless your a photographer, the S3 Mini's 5MP camera is great for taking photos and the additional support for 720p video recording is a good extra touch. No, it's not 1080p but I find this perfectly fine. If you are wanting a better quality camera though, I'd recommend looking for another phone as this probably isn't the best phone for you. But if you just want to take photos and videos of a decent quality, this phone is great.
One thing that might put some people off is the specs of the screen, but unless you're the really picky type about having a Super-LED HD screen then the phone still looks great and crystal clear, so please don't be put of by this.
The phone also comes with some cool motion features such as being able to touch the top of the phone to scroll to the top of an application, or being able to call a contact by simply lifting the phone to your ear. They're only small features, but in my opinion I find them quite impressive.
Overall, this phone is a great mid-high range phone and you shouldn't be put off it's specs. If you're something fast and stylish phone then I'd recommend this phone!

Fantastic little phone. Beautiful-looking.Immediate internet access. Loads of features. So why not 5 stars? No USB cable supplied. No manual - you have to search on-line! Not user-friendly when typing. Keeps defaulting to lowercase which messes up passwords. And most maddening of all, doesn't make phone calls because it doesn't recognise an allegedly compatible (separately purchased) mini simcard. So frustrating!!!! Mobile phones are meant to have the quaint ability to make telephone calls after all. I have just wasted FIVE hours trying to get a mini simcard to work! Also no spare back (unlike the Galxy Ace). Considering the cost of this phone, I find this extremely mean.
And even more annoying, the wretched thing got locked onto the BT network (despite being linked to my Wi-Fi router). It took days to resolve the problem. All e-mails and internet sites were blocked during that period.

I got this as an upgrade from an LG Oprimus One P500 and it was possiblt the best decision I could have made. Firstly, the screen is a vast improvement over the LG with bright vibrant colours and nice sharp edges. It's also considerably faster than its predecessor with touches being a lot more responsive. I have yet to find anything in the Play Store that's not compatible although I'm going to have to figure out how to make my paid for licence to Copilot transfer over.Build quality is exceptional, it feels good in the hand and I can use all the controls one handed. I've only taken a couple of indoor test shots with the camera but it seems fairly good for a 5 Megapixel model.
On the whole I would happily recommend this to anyone who wants to dip their toes in the Android Smartphone waters.

I've had this phone for over a week now. I was a little worried reading the reviews on here, but I totally happy with this great little phone.Really I wanted the capabilities of its larger brother/sister, but because I like to put the phone in my pocket, I prefer the small size phone.
I use my phone for work emails (Outlook at work), personally emails/internet/camera photos/videos/games and social updates like Facebook.
First of all the phone looks amazing, its thin, well made and the screen is a great size, even if its not wow factor amazing resolution compared to others out there, it looks amazing to me. Photos look fantastic on here, the camera has a slight pause (milliseconds) but they look good and so does the video.
Use of the phone is easy. It gives you help when you first turn on the phone, shows you how to set up all your accounts, how to play with the many features the phone has like calling the contact you are on by lifting the phone to your ear etc...you can turn them on and off as you desire in settings.
The phone is very responsive, some say not as fast as the S3 but you wouldn't notice it. It's quick and flicking between pages and settings is quick and easy. Infact it feels very smooth and I like it.
I love the notifications bar, you can turn wifi/mobile/blutooth on and off very quickly without having to faff about in the settings menu. You can also put your phone on power save function for when its low and you don't have a charger.
The internet browser (Chrome and its default one) are both very quick, connecting to pages on wifi and GPS is very quick, I was surprised how good it was compared to my old HTC.
Answering a call is good, I have the option to send a text to say I'll call them back, I love that feature, I use it a lot on work calls.
The pre-loaded widgets/apps are excellent, not much else is needed really, I love Google maps on it, much better than competitors apps.
Overall, I have, so far, had a brilliant experience with this phone. It's quick, looks great, feels great in the hand and the battery lasts me two days, thats with average use on the internet and looking at work/personal emails.
The one thing I have noticed is that it has turned itself off once or twice, but what phone doesn't anyway.
If you love the S3 but want a smaller/cheaper alternative then you can't go wrong with this great phone.

So far, I have been disappointed but not that surprised! I have given it 3 stars as 2 would perhaps be a little unfair because of my own personal dislike of the phone. My disappointment is mainly with the poor quality photos it has produced so far but I am comparing this with my Nokia N8 which is 12MP (Carl Zeiss) but I felt with an up to date phone from Samsung the drop to 5MP would not make a lot of difference. The Nokia produces superb quality photos and hd video and I had bought it specifically because of the camera but it had the hideous Ovi Suite which I couldn't cope with in the end after getting reminders from 02 that I was going over my limit of downloading when in fact I hadn't downloaded anything. Once I realised the Galaxy was not going to please, I thought the easiest way around this would be to use the Nokia as a camera and transfer any photos via bluetooth. This I can do but once the photos are transferred, they just sit in a bluetooth folder and it appears nothing can be done with them, apart from transferring to the pc.
I am not keen on changing from camera to video with this phone and seems to take a few taps before it enables the video. When connecting the phone to the pc with mass storage the jpeg icons appear in the folder but do not show the actual image which is a pain and I believe a Samsung problem. One can only see the actual photos by installing Kies.
There is evidently no inbox or sent box, just a list of messy looking conversations which I am not keen on.
I set the keyboard as alpha numeric as I didn't want a querty keyboard and also with predictive text. So far, despite persevering I have not found any way of spelling my own word and saving it. What is really annoying is that spelling a word out singly means that after each letter there is a space and as there is no back or forward arrows, it means dragging a small blue arrow underneath to the last letter and then hitting the back/delete button each time until the word is what I want. It maybe that I am not using the phone correctly and so any help would be appreciated.
I am not particularly savvy with mobiles and not interested in all the apps which probably makes it more of a popular phone to others. Another funny thing, whilst messing with it during the first few days, I accidentally synced Facebook friends into it and hadn't realised until I went to send a text message and look for a contact that I had in fact nearly 3000 names with emails etc. I got tired of trying to delete and then found I could delete the account thankfully.
Talking of swiping, it was quite funny because I couldn't answer the first three calls I had as I didn't know one had to drag the green icon between the green and the red end call icon to answer it and only discovered this on a forum after finding many others had the same problem.
It is a very nice looking phone and I prefer the size of this to the Galaxy 3. However, I should have investigated it further and perhaps waited for the new Nokia.

Firstly, i am the proud owner of an Iphone 4S which i have used for the last year for personal use. Had the previous Iphone too. So very much an apple fan. However, when my employers told me to buy a phone for business reasons, the 02 shop had this Samsumg Galaxy S111 Mini on offer with unlimited calls, texts and 1GB data. I decided to take the plunge and i am so glad i did. The screen is a very good size, texts clearer than on my iphone to read, fast processor and generally all round good spec for the price. It`s a very nice piece of kit. I have now played around extensively with this phone for 3 days, set up everything possible and downloaded plenty of apps. It does a great job with everything. Never thought i would like anything as much as my iphone, but this really does come very close to matching it.I would strongly urge anyone to consider this if the Iphone is out out your price range. The phone is well built and pleasing on the eye. Well done Samsung, you have won me over and i am hard to please.

I purchased the Samsung as I wasn't a great lover of Apple. Sadly the product did not live up to expectations and after a week the item was returned. I was unable to link the phone contacts to my car via bluetooth. I was unable to delete an app that I download for the experience. I was unable to delete an alarm setting. The manual is not user friendly and I could not find a way to resolve my issues. And one thing to take into consideration, do they have a store where you live, they don't for me, unlike Apple.I am now a proud owner of a i-phone4s and I'm loving it. Yes, it is dearer but god it's worth it. So if you can't decide on either Samsung or Apple go with the rest of the population and get an i-phone, you want regret it.
