Initially OK but plugged my phone into its charger and left it on my dressing table last night and this morning it is completely dead. The phone has never been dropped/shocked etc. and is kept in a soft shell case. Other reviewers have reported this problem.Spoke to HTC customer services this morning, they say the battery may have moved? (very unlikely unless we had an earthquake overnight!) They will repair it under warranty but there is a 10% chance that the problem will re-occur.
It would appear that there is a serious flaw with these phones which will mean that I will be without a phone while it is repaired and will have no confidence in its reliability in the future (what if it decides to stop working while I am touring on the continent laster this year?)

As with most modern phones, the battery doesn't last that long, especially if playing games or music or not using battery saving techniques or apps; but it charges very quickly compared to other smart phones. The graphics are great and the screen is much, much more sensitive than my old Samsung Tocco Lite. The phone has a reasonably small internal memory but can take a micro SD card which many of the apps available can be saved onto so this isn't much of a problem. While texting and on most apps, when the phone is rotated so that it is on its side, the keyboard rotates with it - making the keys bigger. The camera takes much better quality photos than many other phone cameras I have used. There is no front facing camera, but as I have never had one on a phone, and probably wouldn't use it anyway, it is not missed. When buying the phone, my first thought was that the shaped bottom bit would be a problem when putting it in pockets and buying cases, it took a little getting used to but have had no problem with it as of yet. Easily useable with one hand (even mine - which are tiny!) Doesn't come with the full instruction manual (just a quick-start guide) but it is easily downloadable off the internet.Overall a great phone that I would not hesitate to recommend to people.

Replaced my Wildfire S, does everything a smartphone would do just slightly slower than your iPhone or HTC One X due to its single processor. Great camera and loads of free space on dropbox frees up memory so it doesn't get clogged up. 5.0 out of 5 stars Great Phone!!!, 4 Dec 2012

why people always complain at new gadgets, they don't work or they are not like the old ones. it is the same old story people today are too lazy to sit down and learn, if only they had the patience then the reward will follow. 1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy HTC, 20 Nov 2012

They just made this phone obsolete, so no new upgrades to the latest operating system. Not the first time they've done this to their customers. This time less than six months from buying the phone. 4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, 10 Nov 2012

It is a really good phone, great audio with the beats audio. However it is a little slow in closing apps and loading etc. It is still a great phone and Ill probably keep it for a while! 5.0 out of 5 stars HTC One V, 30 Oct 2012

Great phone for the price, a lot faster than my previous one and easy to use with a nice screen. Only had it a couple of weeks but was originally going to go for the top of the range but as I am only a light user of mobile network this fits the bill perfectly and was a lot cheaper.
