I brought the iPhone 5 in September when it first came out. After a month of use I started to notice minor defects with the phone.
The home screen button wasn't sturdy. It would wobble a bit when it was pressed, my friends who used the phone would notice this and ask me what's wrong with my home screen button.
When surfing the web in my bedroom, the wi-fi would disconnect every 30 seconds. I would have to manually reconnect it everytime it disconnected. None of the other devices in the house had this problem, which led me to believe it was a software/hardware glitch with the iPhone.
In December I went to the apple store, and got a 'new' phone by claiming my old one had over heating problems. I also mentioned the wi-fi disconnection problem, and of course they said it was my router. The 'new' phone they gave me had exactly the same problems.
I decided to sell the phone, and I now plan on buying a samsung galaxy note 2. It has expandable memory, and many more features than the iPhone. It is also more customisable.
If you need a simple phone, and don't do a lot of youtube browsing the phone is for you.
If you wish to customise your phone, or want a reliable phone I would recommend the galaxy S3, and the note 2. Those phones are also considerably cheaper.

Great phone.
Bigger screen than the 4s. Faster than the 4s and so much lighter.
I chose the white because the apple sales assistant told me that the black iphones edges were prone to peeling. Ive now checked this out and he was correct.
Very expensive. But if you want the best you have to pay for it.

For me the Iphone 5 is the best smartphone around.

Fast, reliable and cool...

A bit pricey, true, but you get what you pay for..

I had the iphone 5 for christmas and I just think its amazing phone. I've also got a Samsung Galaxy S3 which I've now gave to my mum. I wouldn't say the iphone 5 is better than the Samsung Galaxy 5, but it's alot easy to use and doing things like sending text and opening text, well it's effortless you don't have to open ya text messenger ya text just pops up. It's the phone for the lazy people. The 8 mega pixel camera is good enough in day light and pretty much same as samsung galaxy S3 camera. The web browser on the iphone 5 is top notch. It's a 4g ready phone, but 4g not available in my area yet so I'm on 3g and it's still very fast. For sure the iphone 5 is a much better phone than the iphone 4s. Those who say otherwise, obviously have the 4s. Web browsing on the 4s was very slow when my mate was showing me the web on it, kept crashing alot! The web browser on the iphone 5 is amazing! You've got fast internet on the hip! so additive. Battery life is very good and about the same as the Samsung S3.

All in all, I recommend buying one. It is a great phone.

I have bought all the iPhones but this one is the best ever. Fastest, lightest and the best design. Don't think about anymore and hesitate, just buy it!

Without a doubt the best phone iv had. This is my first IPhone and to say I'm impressed is an understatement. My g/f has the 4S and yes there isn't a lot of difference to justify upgrading but for someone who came from android phones its an upgrade to me. Definitely a lot quicker to browse with and apps like Facebook etc feels like it was made for it not just adapted for it. The phone is lovely to look at and yes I fitted a casemate cover for ease of mind. I don't know why people complain about the new connected a) it's far better looking and fits better. B) the other connector is ancient. Yes I can see the expense and compatibility but moaning about buying a genuine connecter when u have a 600 quid phone makes me laugh. The 3G Internet is miles better than my androids and the wifi is better as well. As for the maps I live in the north of Scotland and using apple maps for a Tom Tom works great. Yes it isn't as good as google maps but give it a chance at least. People with the 4s should just wait and upgrade to the 5s :)

This is a great apple phone. Iv never had a phone like this before, but everyone was so excited about it i just thought i had to join in. So i bought my self an Apple phone. The camera is great. I can text and call my friends from anywhere! Im still trying to get my head around the crazy technology in it. Amazing how much they can fit into such a small phone that fits in my hands so well. They must have some super smart people making these phones! Did i also mention its got a really pretty color screen, makes my feel like christmas inside when ever i turn it on.

You just got to get your self an Apple phone 5!

Loving this phone compared to my old iphone 4, it's noticeably slimmer and much lighter and does look great. Oh and as for dimensions it shouldn't bother you, it certainly hasn't bothered me making the change from the iphone 4 to the iphone 5. It's a bit longer but my fingers reach!! I was hoping that the finish would be hard wearing enough that I didn't need to buy a case for it though as I love the look of the matte black back however it does like the other review mention start to chip and scratch very easily. The screen is great especially with HD movies and for those who like me forget to charge their phone reguarly it charges very quickly. I'm very happy with it and love the fast OS. Am yet to find a case that I like although thinking of purchasing Celicious Clear Transparent Ultra Slim Crystal Back Cover Case for Apple iPhone 5 as it seems like it will do the job well until there are more mainstream cases available. If it didn't scratch so easy it would have got all 5 stars!
