After using quite a number of android phones, I finally decided to get one with stock android os (updated to 4.2 jelly bean). Generally a very good device. Lovely high res screen, good audio quality for music. The only issues I have with it are the call quality, which while decent, does not quite reach the quality of the nokia smartphones and the battery life is only ok. But all in all am very happy with my purchase.

I bought this phone for my son as his entry in the smartphone world. I recommended him this one since I own the same and for reason. I owned every generation of Samsung Galaxy since the first one. While they are excellent and on some points they are better than the Nexus. Owning a Google phone gives one the advantage of having always the latest Android version. This is not the case for any other Android phone, leaving the user at the good will of the manufacturer who will or will not ugrade a specific phone. And for me this is very important given the speed of the evolution of Android and the obsolence of previous versions.
As for the phone itself: it is a classic Android phone, 4.7" screen (not super Amoled) rather good, 5 Mp camera, again quite OK for casual pictures, No SD slot so one has to put up with the 16 Gb internal storage. Battery life within the smartphone standard - recharge it every day.
Otherwise nothing to complain about, works as advertised.

This is just about the best pure Android (so no overlay of manufacturer's software) you can get. Updates mean software is always current. Large but not over large screen is perfect. Battery drains with heavy use, but as phone with moderate use lasts 3 days. Easy to carry second battery. All the apps you want, and my non-techie wife has got the hang of it. Has never hung up on me. Fixed 16gb memory may be a drawback for some, but it's fine for us. Can't praise it too highly.

I bought it on 26 of September, arrived on 29 or something like. Everything fine, no problems, amazing!

On the 11th of November I woke up, unplugged the mobile from the charger (you have to charge it EVERY night, very small battery) and... no response, no power on, no reset nothing. I checked the charger, it worked properly, there was not electricity cuts during the night, (the fire alarm rings in such case).

As computer science guy I tried everything to boot it, no success at all. So on the 13th I took it to CRC London, official Samsung mobile service in London. Here is when the second half of the nightmare starts...

The guy on the bureau just tried with a different battery and told me, "We have to check it slowly, I'll call you in 4 hours". I had to call him, he did nothing with the mobile but told me "we have to send it to central services, it will take 2 weeks". 2 weeks to do what? Ok, 2 weeks.

After 2 and half week I called them (they never called me) and I asked for it. Answer: the mobile is not here, maybe the next monday. So the next monday, the same story. I was very angry after more than 3 weeks, I complained to them and "central services". Answer: we are waiting for some parts for your mobile, you have to wait.

I claimed to amazon and they are going to refund me the money, but I need to refund the old mobile. I told it to CRC London one week ago, I need the mobile ASAP. I don't have the broken mobile yet.

RESUME: CRAP SAMSUNG DEVICES & SERVICE!!!, plumbers give better service about electronics devices.

CRC London THE WORST SERVICE EVER, AVOID IT, THEY TREAT YOU LIKE AN SLAVE, not a client AVOID IT!

Good luck with your Samsungs, enjoy it while you can.

It is very good phone, I've bought for my wife and she is extreamly happy with it. Right now is not top-phone, there are a lot of better phones, but is still good enough for app and most of the games.

I got the product, an everything is fine. The Samsung phone is very good and worth the money, so 5 stars for it.

As i bought it for my company I needed a VAT receipt. Amazon customer service forwarded the request twice to the seller (WIREOVIA), but he did not respond at all. I don't see where the problem is to respond and to provide the required receipt, but it seems that is one of the sellers who don't care as soon as you have paid. Very disappointing.

I doubt it wether to buy it or wait to get the new nexus 4, but seeing the actual problems of delivery of the nexus 4 and some bugs appeared on android 4.2, I'm so glad of having adquired this incredible device. I reccommend it

As a new-to-Android user looking for the stock Android build on a well supported platform, the googlephone was the only reasonable option. It's worked well for me. Stock Android is pleasantly neat and tidy, which I appreciate. The phone is responsive, has a gorgeously big screen with very tight pixels (easily as good as a retina display, to my eye), the touchscreen works well, calls are clear and hold up well in poor signal, and wifi seems good. I'm still a new user but can't really fault this unless someone is looking for a small phone - which this definitely isn't. As a full-size but uncluttered phone this is about as good as I could have hoped for! I paired it with an Otterbox Commuter case and a Martin Fields screen protector both of which work extremely well with the Nexus. I'll probably add a bluetooth keyboard and multitouch trackpad as well for travelling, at which point this is essentially a mobile desktop computer with the MHD-HDMI capabilities. My goodness, how technology has leaped forwards!
