I am using HTC Desire HD since last two years & quite fond of this phone. Never had any single issue. My first phone came with 2years contract with tmobile. Just before Christmas, I bought another HTC Desire HD for my younger brother & since then have been using/testing it myself to make sure there are no issues with the phone. I was bit hesitant before placing my order, to be honest bit surprise to see brand new HTC Desire HD at $208 but ultimately thought to give it a go after reading reasonable amount of good reviews here. I must say I did a right thing, phone was brand new sealed, no problem so far, its sim free with all great features including android 2.3 os, 8 megapixal HD camera, dual flash, 4.3 inch touch screen & other great features. Quick delivery, can't be happier then this. Will hand it over to my brother very soon when I see him in mid Jan. At 208, its indeed a great value for money.

only had it 3 days and it just froze and went blank. tried to put it on but just flashing orange light and hen took battery out and replaced it, put it on charge and eventually flashing orange light stayed on. started up but doesn`t seem to be the same. as it`s still too soon to say wether this has been a worhwhile purchase i`ll give it 3stars for now.

My product was delivered a little late, but it was delivered -- clean, fully intact, in all original packaging with instructions, and was indeed "mocha" coloured. It is indeed a brand new HTC Desire HD and I was really happy about this as I was concerned about the validity of this phone and didn't want to have my money stolen.

The only problem I have with this product however is that it is blatantly made for those in the United States of America; for example, in the contacts menu, it asks what State your contact resides in. This is the UK, GochN!

My HTC Desire HD also has the worst battery life I have ever experienced. Today I was out for nothing more than two hours, with all non-essential functions turned off, and my battery power had went down to 40%
If you don't want to buy an extra four batteries and change them every five minutes, do not buy this phone. This is not GochN's fault however, as this is a design flaw made by HTC.

Other than that, I am ultimately content with my purchase.

Where to start with this phone ! For me, a 14 year old, it has everything I could need or want. The 8mp camera was a huge factor of my desire (!) for this gadget, the camera is amazing! It takes some really lovely pictures and good crisp videos. My friends are always saying that they love how vibrant the screen is and I totally agree, it's gorgeous , the colours look great.The screen is huge so it obviously makes watching videos and reading stuff on the Internet is easier and more enjoyable. You can get loads of apps from the google play/ android market store which is helpful. The overall feel of the phone is just great, I love it so much! It is expensive and I've had to save up for a long while to buy this , but it is so worth it, don't hesitate buying this, get it!

Not one to write reviews but having received my phone on time and in perfect condition I was extremely happy however this is not what prompted me to write this review. Having had my phone almost 2 years now I had an issue where it just would not gain a signal. This obviously was not an issue with the seller but with the phone in general but I thought I would contact the seller to see what, if anything could be done about it. To my surprise I was asked to post it back and he would get it repaired. So as you would expect I sent the phone back and was kept up to date throughout the whole process ie, when the phone was received, and what was happening with the phone whilst it was away. These updates of the phones progress were excellent! Many companies could learn from this, such feedback costs nothing to give back to customers but can have such a big impact over the individuals experience with the company. Anyway I now have the phone back and it is in perfect working condition. Could not be happier! If you buy from this seller you will not be disappointed!

Ok - the phone is fantastic....but if you buy from these people PLEASE check immediately if the GPS works. I didnt check, as i didnt think there would be an issue. I checked after the 30 days window - and it doesnt work on my phone. I contacted the seller who was very rude and implied that the GPS did work and that she had checked it and therefore I was wrong. There are known problems with some HTC Desires not having GPS working(please search the internet). I arranged to have the gps unit replaced - a suggestions to solve this problem from the web (will kill the warranty), and this is where I discovered that one of the two connector parts inside the phone (they are gold plated) is not there and without getting this soldered in the GPS will never ever work. Very dissapointing. So the phone is fab but if you want it for GPS (as i did to use Bike Hub to plan and do bike rides) then PLEASE check the GPS works when you get it IMMEDIATELY

Pros:
- large (more than iPhone) and very contrast screen - allows to comfortly view the Internet sites
- Android gives you more freedom than iOS
- nice quality of camera (good autofocus, rich colours)

Cons:
- DRAINS THE BATTERY LIFE - be prepared to buy extra battery (and additional charging cradle), either internal or external. The charge of the battery will last for 1.5-2 days at the most.
- you will feel that single-core processor isn't sufficient if the number of resident programs exceeds 5
- rather big in hand and in pocket
- external speaker (on the back of the phone) is awful (sound quality is as if the phone is thrown into aquarium with water)
- slowly recovers the connection to SD card after reboot (tried sd cards from different manufacturers with different Classes of speed)

All-in-all HTC makes reputable, worth buying products. When I have sufficient money, I'll buy next generation HTC phone with dual-core or even quad-core processor.

The phone was perfect, mint condition - came boxed with everything also. However the volume key (on the side) was not working which was a shame because the phone was in perfect working order otherwise. It was checked over by the tech team but they couldn't repair it; hence I got a full refund. Good customer service. Thanks anyway.

First of all this is still a great phone considering it is two years old.

I'll keep this simple; the pros of this phone are the camera, screen and volume. The camera is pretty good and has some cool features. The screen is pretty nice considering its resolution (800x400?) It is loud. Feels nice, shame it didn't get an update for 4.0.x however it is still nice. Comes with 8gb sd. Does lag a little sometimes, but you can expect that from a single core processor.

At first the battery life was atrocious but now it is a lot better. If you drain the battery cycle a couple of times the life will improve. You won't need your screen on highest. I get a day out of it. However, with data on the battery goes down very quickly.
