the phone is good, the camera is great and the speed of coming in an out of app is great. However, i don't think if it was only the handset that i had but it was very lagging in a soft of way. kept sync with Dropbox and Skydrive all the time i mean all the time also email was another issue I have a account in Google, yahoo and company and kept also sync for all this reason battery life was poorNo so great to be honest

Easy to use, clear vibrant screen and comes with loads of useful apps. You will need to invest in a screen protector as the screen is possibly open to damage it is so big, but that is one of its good points. May have been my fault due to my inexperience with HTC phones but I could not get it to charge at first until I found a setting that stopped the phone from going to sleep during charging, after that was changed the phone was perfect.I recommend you buy direct from Amazon not a third party listed on the market place as I had big problems which are taking a long time to sort out. Amazon direct supplied in 48hours from order, great service.

Works great, only issue is that the only languages available are English and plenty of Asian languages, I'd have liked autocorrect in French and German, but it's easily changeable with an app. Great buy! 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful

I was an owner of a HTC Desire which is almost 3 years old and also use my partner's iPhone 4S regularly. I will be trying to compare the HTC One X with these 2 models.Pros :-
1) Internet browsing is as good as it was in HTC Desire. The text reflow feature is something I would miss in every other mobile(one of the biggest reasons for my staying with HTC).
2) Always liked the build quality of my HTC Desire and so, I like the quality of this one too.
3) Stock keyboard and phone app are good, in fact the best in the market.
4) Got the phone last wednesday and got the Jelly Bean update yesterday. Thats quite quick to get an Android upgrade.
5) Beats headset is quite good and comfortable to wear. More on that in the Cons(2).
Cons :-
1) Specs say storage of 16GB of 32GB with no provision of an SD Card. What it doesn't say is that only around 5.5GB of that is designated as internal memory(out of which 3.5GB is used by the OS) and the remaining 10.5 GB is designated as phone memory which is equivalent to having an SD Card. I never used another Android phone apart from HTC, so I am curious, does such a similar issue exist with other Android phones also? I also use an iPhone and in that one, all 16GB is one big chunk. Why does HTC skimp so much on internal memory?
2) I never liked the loudspeaker on my HTC Desire but I expected them to improve on that after releasing umpteen models in the last 3 years but the loudspeaker is equally crappy in the HTC One X. I find it cheap even when talking on the phone in a quiet room. As mentioned above, the sound quality improves dramatically when using the provided Beats Audio headset but still, it is not as good as other phones on the market. Suffice to say, if there is a group of people waiting for a phone and plan to use the loudspeaker so that everyone can listen in, don't volunteer your phone.
3) The specs say 1GB RAM but only about 250Mb is available for apps. It takes time for even the details of a person in the phone book to be displayed(took 2 sec). My phone is less than 5 days old, so I cannot imagine how it will be in the future. Overall, very poor memory management for a 1.5GHz quad core system with 1GB RAM.
4) This is my personal view but I don't understand how people like these ultra big screens. I like to operate the whole device using one hand but I had to go for this one because there was no other choice, no other manufacturer had the guts to go against the tide apart from Apple and I find them too expensive.
5) Inorder to unlock the phone, I need to first press the power button on top of the phone and then push a ring at the bottom of the phone, doing that on such a big screen seems really stupid to me. It might be changeable somewhere in the maze of settings but giving that as default doesn't leave that good a first impression.
6) In spite of using a HTC phone for so long, I cannot figure out where to look for something in the settings menu, but it has only been 5 days since I got the phone, so I will give them the benefit of doubt on this one.
Overall, I have begun to understand how HTC lost all the market share in the last few years since their last super hit phone HTC Desire was released in 2010. Apart from a few good features which thankfully no one thought of messing around with, there were lots of issues with the HTC Desire which were never resolved in the HTC One X.
One of the biggest reasons I bought this phone was because I got a really good deal on this one and the next reason was my familiarity with HTC. If you are planning to buy this phone and it is only marginally cheaper than it's competitors, then I would suggest against going with HTC.

For all intents and purposes the one X is a phone as competitive as the Galaxy S3 and Iphone 5 but without the same `status' and high price tag. Unlike most of the fad phone customers who buy phone products due to fashion & looks but do not even test 20% of the phones capabilities I extensively tested the One and can tell you where it excels and where it fails, especially if your deciding to buy a top market phone.1) Screen- Screen is bright and vibrant but I did notice it was slightly second best against the the I5 and S3 in resolution sharpness and brightness, especially as the S3 has different brightness configuration where this is more limited. The difference although noticeable is tiny and the screen detail is as sharp as the HTC incredible.
2) OS- Is completely identical in everyway to the S3 and for me there is absolutely no difference. Ive always preferred android to IoS due to its more open system and config options.
3) Interface- For me just as responsive as the S3 and although it doesn't have the swipe technology it has its own unique touch screen features, HTC sense is also brilliant and gives you that nice vibration support as you type.
4) Processor- For me I found the power on the processor exactly the same as the S3 and better than the I5. I tested it on graphically demanding games such as Bard's tale and found that it handled everything except the busiest screens and smoke effects where there was slow down. Water effects handled much better here than the S3 for me.
5) Sound- For sound the one x is king, the beats boost not only makes sound louder but much clearer than any of its competitors and pairing the headphones with JVC extreme base or the Future sound lab Bluetooth headset has given me some of the best sounds I ve ever heard from a portable device.
6) Camera- One X also rules here, although you will need to tweek the camera to take clear non grainey pictures, the full hd multishot functions makes the one x fantastic. The Iphone comes close though with the high resolution and stretch photo.
7) Battery- The phones biggest weakness, it has a smaller battery life than I5 and far smaller than the S3. The battery simply cannot keep up with the functions it has and will last you about ¾ a day with medium to heavy use. Take a charger with you at all times, you have been warned.
8) Browser modem- Hidden gem for this phone. The wifi modem on this beauty is fastest Ive seen with exception of I5. I can wifi hotspot anywhere at an average of 10mbps, witch means I don't actually need a broadband package as I can run games online on my Xbox and pc with this. Streaming is also great.
9)Design- Better build than Samsung S3 which has a flimsy case and back. Usual sturdy HTC build. Only I5 is better in build quality.
For me the One X is the best Value top range phone around, and a great alternative to the big 2 market leaders.

This is probably the best looking phone I have ever see or used. It is remarkable how slim, smooth and good quality the phone is made of. Its fast, stylish and amazing. However tiny little issues put it down..1. The battery life on this phone is appalling, it will struggle to last the whole day just using it normally without any games or web
2. It overheats really badly around the top of the phone just by using it for 2 mins.
HOWEVER THERE HAS BEEN A PATCH IN THE NEW SOFTWARE UPDATE FROM HTC WHICH FIXES ALL THESE PROBLEMS.
The phone now lasts hours longer and the overheating issue is completely gone,
So now the phone is exactly how it should be, fast, reliable, with huge space and gaming capabilities. Perfect for business and everything. I would really recommend this phone to anyone.

I was a little apprehensive at first, given the screen problems referred to in earlier reviews and the fact this was a used item from Amazon Warehouse. The phone works flawlessly with no screen issues at all.Now onto the product itself. It is even slimmer than I was expecting. The screen is huge and so sharp graphically, I've never experienced anything quite like it. Mine has bulked slightly, as I threw on a case mate, tough case. In my job It's not really an option.
I'm loving the amazing quad core processor, which works impeccably with this version of Android and sense . Though I am looking forward to the upgrade to Jelly Bean.
Great deal for a great price. Was tempted by the Samsung Galaxy S3, but it's really no better and can't be had for this price.
