This is an awesome phone, one of the best I've had but it won't last long, the charging port just stops working after a while and as you can't remove the back, the phone is pretty much useless now, it lasted just a year.

I only got this phone because I damaged my much loved Nokia N900 beyond repair. Which I'd gone for something else. While the E7 *looks* good, it's am absolute disaster of a phone!

*It constantly freezes and reboots itself or needs rebooting. It also likes to reset the home screens back to the factory default.

*Any more than 2 apps running and the memory fills up

*The side button to toggle the phone on and off works when it feels like it.

*The handsfree volume is pathetic.

*The symbian OS doesn't have half as much support as android.

*Non-removable battery, so no carrying a spare for emergencies.

*Did I mention the constant freezing and crashing?!

This should have been a good phone. It looks good, has a full qwerty keyboard and touchscreen, big memory (16gb) and feels pretty solid. But it just fails miserably.

It's a great phone and does everything you want it to but the battery life is abysmal.That may be the case for "smartphones"in general.

Well I changed to this phone from the Nokia N8 as i needed something more designed towards the business.

There are a lot of good points about this phone:
The qwerty keyboard is fantastic, can use it as a mini laptop, I have installed Microsoft office onto the phone, and although I can't do all things that I can do on the Laptop it certainly does note taking and minutes for meetings.
Design of the phone is really good, although quite a heavy phone, I like the way it feels, and the slide system for the screen is great, seems really sturdy and i think it will last a long time.
The software, which is on Symbian Belle now is absolutely fine, you can't compare it to Android or Apple, as this system is designed for business users, and having had blackberry's and an I phone, i would pick this over them any day because it works in the business environment brilliantly.
The email is really good, especially for Microsoft exchange. Have my personal accounts and business accounts on the phone, have 5 accounts in total, and it copes with it absolutely fine.
The camera is good, especially if I do forget my actual camera I know i have a good back up.
Storage, a little limiting on this as there is no where to put a memory card, so you are limited to the 16 GB that it has.
The Battery life, well here is a touch subject with reviewers so I will leave it with my experience with the last 2 years ive been using it, I use my phone a lot when im working and the phone will last the day with the usage, which means i have to charge it every night, which doesn't bother me at all, i have a charger in the car just in case i forget, but seems fine to me, can't expect it to last a week considering how small the battery is and how much it has to do.

Only a few bad points i thought of,
It needs a dual sim, this would make it a perfect phone, where you can have your business contract and your personal phone number in one phone and have the capability to switch between the two.
Software, although the software is really good, it has a tendency to just turn off randomly, luckily it hasn't happened when im doing something important.

Overall this is the best phone i have ever owned, and I wait until the next top line E series is released, if you are looking for a phone which is fun, you are looking in the wrong place, but if you need a good business phone here is your answer.

I bought this phone about a year ago on amazon after i lost my beautiful HTC desire HD and have never looked back. Sure it may not be the fastest phone or have as many apps as android or Iphones but it is definitely better then those. There are loads of useful apps for those who are business heavy or even those like me who usually uses my phone for texting, satnav the best satnav I've ever used), and pdfs. The keyboard is definitly a plus point and the phone itself is stylish and trust me it's a phone you can really show off!!

This phone (and Symbian) will soon be withdrawn from the market. Nokia's goal is sales and profit and we cannot blame them. But the e7 is still the best keyboard phone around. It is a pity that the design was not adapted for one of the new WP7 phones. I bet that it is too expensive to produce. Well, buy one and enjoy it for a few more years.

Great phone at a great price , it has the lot more or less , and the slide out keyboard makes texting a breeze , battery is ok but will need charged every couple of days if you have a lot running , like apps , bt , 3g mode etc.. , it is very easy to use as is all nokias and a great alternative to the more expensive smartphones on the market. shame it dosent have a micro sd card slot but the 16gb built in memory is adequate.

I have been using this phone for a couple of weeks now and it works excellently, i have had no problems with it and as long as you upgrade (freely) to Symbian Anna it is much more stable.

I would recommend this phone to anyone (even over an IPhone)
