Well, after 2 months with this phone is time to do a deep clear review!I start all my important reviews saying that in this life everything is relative, and the most important thing here is we have to count with this mobile appeared more than 1 year ago (so you can't wait the best the best hardware) and now the price (in my case) was 174 pounds (the new 820 is more than double...); and after saying that only I can say that for that price this is AN-A-MA-ZING MO-BI-LE. Really, I'm so happy to have bought!!!
GOOD THINGS:
1. I bought this phone in white and is the best thing I ever done!!! Black is elegant but... too black with the screen as well, but in white is so so gorgeous!!!! I was a bit scared about the shinny white instead the black matte but honestly if you can buy this, Do it! because is so beautiful and exclusive(I'm trying to convince my sister to buy it as well!) And the construction is... perfect, you know with the mobile in your hand that you have something really good!!! Congratulations Nokia :)
2. Windows 7.5 is something amazing. I have an ipod touch and an android mobile and this is much, much better than android and, no better, just simply different than iOS. Microsoft has arrived really late at the smartphones world but that means they have had time to make something different that the others 2.
3. The way of showing the messages, mails... is so dinamic, so modern I love it! Zune is a wonderful music player and give you image of the artist you are listening, so cute!
3. There are many apps, and yes, android and iOS have much more but honestly I don't care be able to buy just 1 solitaire instead of 20! And the most important are here!!!
4. Skydrive is completly integrated so is a good added value.
5. The live titles look something snob... but now I love it!!! for example, you can make a folder with your favorite facebook pics and then use them to appear in the image live tittle random... maybe sounds stupid but when you catch your mobile and appear a pic about your last holidays, or your nephew new born... simply you smile!
5. The Nokia apps are truly a added value!!! and all of them are really useful and they made a really good job!!!
6. I'm quite fussy about sounds and the headphones are very good!!! in fact I have finished using it in my ipod.
7. At the same time, the speaker is quite good as well!! only I would like the volume at 1 was a bit quiet.
8. The integration with facebook is very good! when you synchronise whit your account the mobile copy the contact to your agenda, in your library pics appear your facebook albums and in your profile inform you about the notifications in your acount. In the calendar live tittles as well appear the facebook birthdays...
9. The camera, without being the best of the world I think is in the same league of iPhone 4S, I really like the pics and allllll the options you can choose like iso, white balance, macro....
BAD THING!!!
1. Nobody know what's going to happen with Windows phone 7.8 and how long they going to stay the support...
2. Nobody know if the developer forget the 7.5 for the new 8...
3. The charger port is on the top so although I think is more confortable on the bottom, and that cover... I don't know how long I'm going to need to break it!!
4. I'm still waiting for the update to 7.8
5. Even the integration with facebook is really good the own app isn't the best if you compare with android or iOS.
6. Where is Instagram, Grindr and other important apps???? C'mon guys!!!! Built built built!!!!
7. The battery (as the 90% of the mobile) is not enough for a hard day work!!!
8. The google conspiracy about youtube and google maps isn't a good thing at all!!! butttt We always we can use metrotube and gmaps, so sorted!!!
Sorry for that large review but I would like to say so many things!!! but the most important for a possible buyer is try!!!! I'm sure if you can try it you love it!!! Is not perfect, of course but for 174 pounds free-sim???? You are joking, is the best phone you can choose!!!!
P.S. In fact I'm so happy with the alliance nokia-windows that my plan is stay with this phone 2 year and then change it for the 820 that in 2 years I'll be able to find it for 180 pounds I suppose!)
