I think the title is pretty clear... Got this phone a few months ago as a gift... At first everything was perfect... but now, it is just one problem after another... The battery, which used to last more than a day, now does not last more than 5h (while the phone is not used at all), there is some storage problem which I don't understand since I have an SD card and when I select an app, 30% of the time, I access something else instead. Will certainly not purchase Samsung again... unless I got for the high level S3 or equivalent, which I suppose should be ok.

Very disappointed user...

Having used this phone for nearly a year now, I decided to write something about it.

1. It's a beautiful phone with the same iPhone 4/4S height, width and it's more comfortable to hold thanks to its curved shell.

2. The RAM status in the phone is actually 351MB, which is not much IMO and often slows down when you have some heavy apps on - as if it dislikes FB & Instagram :))
(I'm not sure that it's my phone itself was defected or everyone's phone got the same problem?!)

3. The display is good, beautiful colors. touch-screen runs quite smoothly.

4. The camera is 5MP but I compared 2 similar pix with my friend who has got a 8MP phone and didn't see much of a difference. It just captures the pictures slower than I thought :)).

5. Battery life is quite good, I usually charged once every 2 days, maybe I'm not a heavy user!?. But it drops really quick when you watch the videos you recorded. The back shell is very easy to open and it has microSD slot, which can help storing things.

6. Normally this phone operates the way I expect a middle-range phone does. So it's good!!

After looking the hardware I purchased this phone but the speed and all operation are terribly slow specially the phone function. After clicking for any function' u have to wait for long time and in the mean time phone goes on sleep mode. Very disappointing. I spoke with Samsung and they could not give any answer . It says 4 GB memory but phone system confirm around 2GB

Bought this phone new???? Sim free pay as you go. Found that I could not get on to the internet, went to the 02 shop and they were very helpful, was a little surprised when the shop assistant informed me that this was a contract phone???? or was initially set up as a contract phone.......So is the phone brand new? or not, that is what I am unsure about. Anyway the assistant then loaded some software onto the phone so that it would accept pay as you go internet. As for the actual phone well I am happy with the product so far, just a little annoyed that I may have bought a second hand phone when I thought I was purchasing a brand new one.

I am 45 and Have avoided getting a smart phone for years due to there size and poor battery life,my son was very frustrated with his HTC Desire HDs constant freezing and poor battery life but one of his friends recomended this phone so i bought one for him,Wow we were not dissapointed.
I got one for myself recantly,size is excellant big enough to injoy all the perks of a touch screen but also small enough to put in you shirt pocket,portable and light,i would not be able to live with Sasmung G S2 or 3.
Second point is battery life this is my sons third smart phone having owned an I phone initialy and for him it is the best by fare,i am a light user,on a full charge it lastes nearly 48 hours,my wifes LG Prada lastes only 8-12 hours.
It is fast with an excellant camera,skype is crystal clear,the screen resolution is very good, you could pay double the price to get slightly better sepec on the S2 Or S3,for me it is a wast of money.
Excellant service and prompt delivery from Amazon as usual.

One of the Best smart phones around,highly recomended.

I bought two of these - one for myself the other for my daughter. We both really like the way that they work - smooth and quite fast however although my phone has been faultless my daughter is having problems with hers. It re-starts regularly ( we've done a re-set nothing changed ) and the battery life on her phone doesn't even see the end of a working day!!

It came to the time when my old phone was, well shockingly bad and had just about forgotten how to switch on. At first I wanted a sony ericson xperia neo v until looking at the samsung side of things and found a peculiar galaxy w. This looked like a bargain, as it was £50 more than the neo and included similar specs apart from the bigger processor in the w. I then looked at the ace as I knew some friends that all wanted an ace and decided that the w was the creme de la creme compared to the ace. And so after a few months of this I love it and also with the new update it's just a little bit smoother and includes cool things like being able to take a picture whilst shooting a movie and being able to unlock the phone with facial recognition. Another thing that shocked me was the camera, at only 5 megapixels it wasn't massive but delivers beautiful photos with a crisp and clear finish. It also includes a panorama mode which is really good to. So if you want this phone, just buy it and you won't be let down!

bought this three days ago. love its performance; i virtually abandonned my pc coz except for typing and some other heavy tasks. i hv everything in the go: fcb, twitter, linked...and the mavellouse, all my email accounts with me.
it automatically swaps from wifi to 3G once i leave a wireless network connection, keeping me up to date wherever i go.
with the google play, i download almost every app that use, from skype, ymsg, BBC, CNN ...

The phone came on the projected delivery day - exactly. It started up in Russian(!), but I changed the language and registered my gmail account. I discovered this phone to be much better than the phone it was replacing, a Galaxy Ace, in quite a few ways. Screen resolution, amount of memory, speed of processor & internet speed - all significantly better. Battery life is like the Ace tho - poor. I can live with that tho - I lived with the Ace for ages. If the battery had been better, I'd have given it 5 stars. Definitely worth buying.
