I have had this model for 15 months, it has gone wrong twice with the same fault - the screen goes white & has to be replaced. The first time the whole phone was replaced under the 12 month warranty. The replacement phone, at 4 months old, has now developed the same fault - it is out of warranty and if I want to have it repaired it will be at my own cost.
My advice would be make sure you get at least a 24 month warranty, or failing that a samsung as this was my previous phone which is now being pressed back into service.
By the way when it was working I thought it was a good tool - but no where as good as my wife's iphone, which is 20 months old, has had no problems & still looks good.
You have been warned!

My daughter dropped previous 'phone on concrete floor and was toast. Got replacement from Amazon at a very reasonable price so better than paying 'phone companies price. Daughter very please so that's OK with me.

I was sold a faulty BlackBerry Bold 9780 phone from Skycell. The battery was constantly drained and after a few months of having it, I have to charge it 3 times a day so it can last. I charged it fully before I went to sleep and switched it off for the night only to find that the battery was drained and it wont turn on when I wake up! I have bought replacement batteries and chargers, but has proven the phone to be faulty. I would recommend if you want to buy a phone to purchase at a retailer because at least you can be covered against faults, damage, loss or theft. Even though it can be slightly cheaper on the net, you don't have that guarantee if anything was to happen. I have just wasted £250.00 and I will not get that back or get a replacement phone. Do not make the same mistake as me!

DO NOT BUY....the phone sucks, I hope blackberry go bankrupt....I need to place a bet that they will shut downn at least I can get my money back that way :) ....Mines up for sale...cant stand the device....Nokia Lumia 920 it is for me, when it comes out.

Very pleased with the fast delivery and quality of the phone... The only thing is that its not mentioned that the phone is from O2.. with the O2 symbol at the bottom of the Blackberry.. other then that the Phone is great!

Do we really need all these functions on phones?

As a business user my priorities are pretty basic; e-mail connectivity, web access, phone usage, portability AND battery life.

Initially, having upgraded from a Bold 9700 to a 9900, I was impressed by the bells and whistles virtues of the 9900; but quickly realised that it had so many battery draining functions that I didn't require, and came to the view that less is often best!

Unfortunately the tendency seems to be for ever bigger bundled default packages. However, these all come at a cost - great if you need/use them, but otherwise often superfluous and in most cases a compromise on performance (battery life)/price.

So, back to the upgraded 9700 - the 9780. Does all I need, and reliably chugs along day after day.

Had the phone for 3/4 months now, and it has worked like a charm, I love it! Great camera and video quality for this cheap price.

In regards to usedberry itself, their service is fantastic. My Screen became faulty, I sent it back and they replaced the screen and I received it promptly afterwards. This is my first review on Amazon, which is truly a credit to usedberry itself, I will be definitely using this service again for an upgrade in the future!

Highly recommended for both the product in discussion and Usedberry.

Delivery was next day! The phone was better than expected what can i say amazing deal.
9780 is a just have phone and you must install a hybrid os to make it super fast and just better.

I purchased this phone on 28th February 2011. Initially I was pleased with it, however:

I late February 2012 I was updating the O/S via the Blackberry website when it suffered a catastrophic failure. The old O/S was removed then the phone refused to accept the updated O/S. This left me with a white screen showing Error 507 Reload Software. Despite repeated attempts to reload the software nothing happened. The phone was dead. An expensive useless piece of junk.

Between 24 February 2012 and 28 March 2012 I emailed Blackberry but did not even receive acknowledgement of my emails. I also wrote to RIM but again received no answer.

I desperation I emailed Amazon at 13:31:25hrs on 24 April 2012 and explained the problems I was having with the manufacturer. I explained that although I bought the phone from Amazon I tried to speed up the repair/replacement process under the 12 month guarantee by going direct to the manufacturer, but to no avail. Within a couple of hours Amazon emailed me and apologised for the problems I was having. They informed me that they were not in a position to repair/replace the phone. I was instructed to return the phone for a full refund. This I did and was reimbursed the full purchase price within a matter of days.

Bear in mind I had owned and used this phone for about 11 1/2 months and that the manufacturer was duty bound under the 12 month guarantee and the sale of goods act to do something about this problem. I think the actions of Amazon in this matter are exemplary. I cannot sing the praises of Amazon highly enough for their customer care and attention to detail. I would recommend Amazon as a retailer to anyone, without fail.

As for Blackberry/Rim, I will never darken their doors again. What an arrogant way to treat customers.
