I was recommended to try this phone but was also advised that, compared to the iPhone I was used to, I would have to adapt to its operating system and size.
Yes the operating system was different, the first phone failed within 2 weeks but was replaced quickly. I liked the screen though it was a bit big. Bit of a 'lump' to cart about.
Failed to get used to it so went back to an iPhone 5 now happy.

Everything about this phone is amazing! The camera is absolutely outstanding..
The only negative thing I can say about this phone is when you click on something like an app, it isn't instantaneous.

5 Stars

You always wonder if you should have bitten the bullet and bought brand new for the extra money. But I'm delighted to have made the decision to buy this phone slightly second hand. To be honest you just wouldn't know it wasn't new.
I jumped ship from the Apple empire and so far, still finding my way around the Android system, I'm enjoying the journey.

First off this is a great phone. You get quickly use to the size and you soon find all other phones are too small.
This phone is frgile! I bought the Otter box commuter case which is a great quality case, however I dropped my phone on a doorstep from a distance of around 3.5ft. I was astonished to find the screen had shatterd and would no longer work. This is pathectic. I have seen drop tests on youtube and seen this phone withstand greater impacts without a case. I can't explain this. The glass on this phone goes right to the edge so any impact is devivered right across the screen. The I phone at least has a aliminium ring to absorbe an impact. Goriller glass? Where do they get these names from? The shatterd mess fragments like the cheapest glass you have ever seen. You can throw a brick at a car windscreen and it will bounce off and hit you in the face! Glass has been around a long time and the strenght og glass has been perfected years ago. I can only assume they make them weak to make money on repair or replacement. People say they have dropped this phone and its fine. Ask them next week. it will be broke. Another thing, its stops charging. Plug it in over nite and it will be at like 40% in the morning! Moreover if you exit an application such as text messaging and then open another application it will go sraight back to what you where doing before! I dont want that! My prvious phone was the HTC desire S. The best phone I have ever had til I smashed it. I have since repaired the phone myself for less the £30. Im back using it now. I would keep it but takes forever to get GPS if ever. I dont want to become an I-geek but I need A SMART phone with google maps ect. Gutted about this phone. Its costs around £150 if you repair it yourself but whats the point? It will break again next week. I have owed Samsung before and they have been great apart fron having the worst camareas ever. I have had Samsung phones that have been in the washing machine and still worked! Where did it all go wrong? I blame Apple, but as much as it pains me to say - they are making better phones or at least more durable. Forgive any gramitical mistakes Im drunk and gutted

1.0 out of 5 stars Hairline cracks in silver bezel, 19 Dec 2012

Had this product since the launch and I have been very careful with it. The device and software is excellent, probably the best Android device available. However I spotted two hairline cracks on the silver bezel, one below the headphone button and another just below the power button.

I googled and found loads of similar issues reported by users and tech journalists. After contacting Samsung UK support they deny any known issues or a widespread problem. They recommend that I take it to the service centre, who refused to repair it under warranty.

This has left a very bitter taste in my mouth and I will not be buying the next Samsung Galaxy as a result of this poor customer service.

Cons
Loaded with Samsung bloatware, no option to revert back to stock Android or at least to remove what I never use.

Very late Android updates.

Too big.
I have big hands but still struggle to use one handed.
Doesn't fit in pockets either.
Samsung should decide what this is: a phone and make it smaller, or a tablet and make it bigger.
The problem is that the smaller phones haven't got as good hardware as this. I wonder why.

It is very thin so it's uncomfortable to hold when speaking on phone. Even with a silicone case.

WiFi and 3G are very unstable, looses data connection very often, especially on 5 GHz networks.
Sometimes it can't connect to the same WiFi to what Galaxy S1, Galaxy Nexus, iPhone 4 and Nokia E51 can connect with almost full signal.

It comes with a single theme what is extremely dark. Who had the crazy idea to have mail app with black background and dark blue text?? Can someone read the text?

Graphics look like created for 640x480 computer screens in 1990's.
Guys, this phone has an HD screen, it should come with nice, crispy graphics.

Back cover comes off very hard, no change since SGS1.

Power button is almost opposite to volume buttons, so when I lock the phone almost each time I press volume buttons too.
Same issue on Galaxy Nexus.

Pro
It has SD card slot what Google phones lack.

AMOLED screen. Still the best of all other technologies, including IPS.

1.0 out of 5 stars Feels cheap.., 17 Dec 2012

Its not a cheap phone compared to some, yes the iphone 5 is more expensive, but at least that price transfers to the feel, design and engineering of the phone, this phone just feels cheap.

It feels cheap for a reason, samsung churn out a new phone every 5 minutes, there just flooding every market with there name for the sake of selling numbers and their customer service is awful speaking from experience. I personally wouldnt advise buying any samsung product, anything else would be better...
